At Nairn's we are proud of the awards we've achieved over the years, including our nomination in the Scotland Food and Drink awards 2011 for Retail product of the year for our Gluten Free Range.

Nairn’s Oatcakes named SME of the Year

In June, we were named the SME Business of the Year at the Scottish Business in the Community Awards 2011.

In a competitive category, we were recognised for commendable business responsibility as well as our ongoing commitment to local community support, innovation and environmental sustainability.

This accolade rewards the company for our great partnerships with local schools, including Castlebrae High School in Edinburgh where we run an entrepreneurial business initiative, and fund a breakfast club at Niddrie Mill and St Francis Primary School. For the past four years, we have also partnered with Haven Products Ltd and Job Centre Plus to offer job opportunities to people who suffer from learning difficulties.

Accreditations

Our SME award adds to a string of recent achievements, after recently being accredited for ISO 14001 and gaining three ticks in the Business Environmental Partnership. Adding to our environmental credentials, Nairn’s is also a member of the Round Table for Sustainable Palm Oil. The company also holds the Investors in People accreditation, which reflects our investment in the team and staff loyalty.
