Chive and Bean Mash | Oatcake Recipes

Instructions

  1. Place the beans in a bowl and mash together with a fork or potato masher, then mix in the remaining ingredients
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste
  3. To serve, simply place about 1/2 tbsp. of the bean mash on an oatcake, then place a few olive halves on top. Alternatively serve as a dip with Nairn's Mini Oatcakes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 x 400g tin of white beans, such as haricot or cannellini, drained and rinsed
  • 1 clove of garlic, peeled and crushed or finely grated
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives
  • 75ml (3fl oz) extra-virgin olive oil
  • A good squeeze of lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • About 16 pitted and halved black olives
  • Nairn's Fine or Mini Oatcakes
